The Beta Band rocked the KEXP studio on October 13, 2025, laying down a stripped-back live take of “Dr Baker.” Steve Mason steered vocals and guitar, with John Maclean on piano and sampler, Robin Jones on drums, and Richard Greentree on bass—each adding rich backing harmonies—while Morgan Chosnyk guided the session.
Audio engineers Julian Martlew and Jon Roberts captured every nuance before Matt Ogaz handled mastering. A four-camera crew led by Jim Beckmann (who also edited), alongside Carlos Cruz, Scott Holpainen, and Luke Knecht, kept the visuals tight.
