The Beta Band stopped by KEXP on October 13, 2025 to tear into a live studio version of “Dr Baker,” with Steve Mason front and center on vocals and guitar, John Maclean on keys and samplers, Robin Jones pounding the drums and Richard Greentree holding it down on bass.
Hosted by Morgan Chosnyk and captured by cameras Jim Beckmann, Carlos Cruz, Scott Holpainen & Luke Knecht, the session was expertly mixed by Julian Martlew & Jon Roberts and mastered by Matt Ogaz—proof that even in a stripped-down setting, The Beta Band’s magic is undeniable.
