The Beta Band Live on KEXP

KEXP welcomed The Beta Band into their studio on October 13, 2025, for a raw, in-the-moment take on “Dr Baker.” Fronted by Steve Mason (vocals, guitar) alongside John Maclean (keys/sampler), Robin Jones (drums) and Richard Greentree (bass), the quartet delivers a vibrant performance backed by tight background vocals.

Host Morgan Chosnyk steered the session while audio engineers Julian Martlew and Jon Roberts (mastered by Matt Ogaz) captured every detail. A multi-camera shoot—helmed by Jim Beckmann, Carlos Cruz, Scott Holpainen and Luke Knecht—was polished in the edit bay by Beckmann, making this a can’t-miss live moment.
