The Beta Band – “Dr Baker” Live on KEXP

The Beta Band crashed into the KEXP studio on October 13, 2025, serving up a gritty, unforgettable take on “Dr Baker.” Steve Mason’s raw vocals and guitar interplay with John Maclean’s swirling piano and sampler, while Robin Jones and Richard Greentree lock in tight rhythms and backup harmonies.

Hosted by Morgan Chosnyk and captured by engineers Julian Martlew & Jon Roberts (mastered by Matt Ogaz), the session comes alive thanks to cameras from Jim Beckmann, Carlos Cruz, Scott Holpainen & Luke Knecht—Beckmann also handled the edit.
