Pulp Crash the Tiny Desk
After surprising everyone with More, their first album in 25 years, Jarvis Cocker and Pulp breezed into NPR’s D.C. offices for a cheeky, career-spanning Tiny Desk set. The band even held hands and crooned, “This will be the very best Tiny Desk,” before diving into four songs—mixing nostalgic hits like “Acrylic Afternoons” and “This Is Hardcore” with the jangly “Something Changed” and the fresh, bittersweet “A Sunset.”
Behind Cocker’s quips and dance moves, Pulp’s lineup (keys, guitars, strings, cajón and more) nails every groove, reminding us why their brand of dry humor and sweeping drama still hits so hard in 2025.
