Pulp’s Tiny Desk comeback
After dropping More—their first album in nearly 25 years—Jarvis Cocker and co. sauntered into NPR’s D.C. offices for a cheeky, career-spanning Tiny Desk Concert. They even held hands and sang “This will be the very best Tiny Desk” before kicking off a four‐song set that mixed ’90s classics (“Acrylic Afternoons,” “Something Changed,” “This Is Hardcore”) with their bittersweet new tune “A Sunset.”
Intimate vibe, full lineup
Cocker’s trademark deadpan humor and dance moves led the charge, backed by Candida Doyle on keys, Nick Banks on cajón, Emma Smith on violin and the rest of the gang. The result? A warm, playful showcase that proved Pulp still knows how to surprise—and delight—a crowd in a tiny space.
