NPR Music: Pulp: Tiny Desk Concert

Pulp’s Tiny Desk Homecoming

After a 25-year album drought, Jarvis Cocker and the gang dropped More this spring—and promptly turned NPR’s D.C. offices into their personal stage. In true Pulp style, they held hands, deadpanned “This will be the very best Tiny Desk,” then launched into four tracks with all the coos, croons and dance moves you’d hope for.

Their setlist was a greatest-hits tour in miniature: the retro charm of “Acrylic Afternoons” (1994), the jangly magic of “Something Changed” (1995), fan-favorite “This Is Hardcore” (1998), and the fresh, bittersweet “A Sunset” from More. It was a perfect, career-spanning snapshot—proof that Pulp still knows how to steal the spotlight.
