Nova Twins Bring Mega Distortion to Tiny Desk

London duo Georgia South (bass) and Amy Love (vocals/guitar) kicked off their Tiny Desk set with the riotously defiant “Cleopatra,” barreling into the shadow-battling “Monsters” without missing a beat. Their raspy yowls and hip-hop-infused basslines flipped the “nice girls” script on its head.

Between tweaking their spaceship-sized pedalboards (shoutout to the dedicated pedal cam) and Amy’s Harp Blaster mic on “Hummingbird,” Nova Twins kept the energy sky-high, blasting into a fist-pumping finale with the heavy rock anthem “Choose Your Fighter.”
