Nova Twins crash NPR’s Tiny Desk with a blast of distorted bass riffs, hip-hop beats and raspy vocals. London duo Georgia South and Amy Love kick off with the defiant “Cleopatra,” tackle inner demons on “Monsters,” then geek out on their enormous “spaceship-sized” pedalboards (complete with a dedicated pedal cam) before giving “Hummingbird” a spooky lift via a Harp Blaster mic.
Backing them up is Jake Woodward on drums, while the audience fuels the frenzy for a final showdown called “Choose Your Fighter.” In just four songs, Nova Twins shatter the “nice, polite girls” stereotype and crank Tiny Desk up to eleven.
