Yaya Bey dropped by KEXP’s Seattle studio on September 23, 2025, for a fresh live take of “merlot and grigio,” laying down soulful vocals alongside Charles Wilson on drums, Hope Nwachukwu on keys and Sweet Corey-Bey on bass. Host Larry Mizell Jr. steered the session while Kevin Suggs and Matt Ogaz tackled the audio, cameras by Jim Beckmann, Scott Holpainen and Luke Knecht captured every angle, and Carlos Cruz pieced it all together in the edit.
