Valerie June – Joy, Joy! (Live on KEXP)

Valerie June brings her soulful folk-rock to the KEXP studio, backed by Jason DiMatteo on bass, Sean Walsh on guitar, John Deley on keys and Caito Sanchez on drums—all adding their vocals to the mix. Hosted by Cheryl Waters, this intimate June 23, 2025 session captures every warm note and harmony.

Behind the scenes, Julian Martlew and guest engineer Tony Volpe kept the sound crisp, with mastering by Matt Ogaz. A talented camera crew led by Jim Beckmann (who also edited), along with Carlos Cruz, Leah Franks, Scott Holpainen and Luke Knecht, turned this performance into a visual treat.
