Valerie June stopped by KEXP’s Seattle studio on June 23, 2025, for a stripped-down live session, weaving together folk, blues and soul across four tracks: “All I Really Wanna Do,” “Joy, Joy!,” “Endless Tree” and “Life I Used To Live.” She fronts a tight crew—Jason DiMatteo on bass, Sean Walsh on guitar, John Deley on keys and Caito Sanchez on drums—bringing her signature smoky vocals and finger-picked guitar riffs to every note.
Hosted by Cheryl Waters and sonically sculpted by engineer Julian Martlew (with guest Tony Volpe) and mastering ace Matt Ogaz, the performance was captured by a five-camera team led by Jim Beckmann (also editing), Carlos Cruz, Leah Franks, Scott Holpainen and Luke Knecht.
