Live on KEXP: The Beta Band – “Dr Baker”

On October 13, 2025, KEXP hosted The Beta Band for a stripped-down studio take on “Dr Baker.” Steve Mason led with vocals and guitar, John Maclean manned piano and samplers, Robin Jones drove the beat on drums, and Richard Greentree locked in on bass—four mates weaving that signature Beta Band magic live.

Behind the curtain, Morgan Chosnyk steered the session, engineers Julian Martlew and Jon Roberts nailed the audio, with mastering by Matt Ogaz. Jim Beckmann, Carlos Cruz, Scott Holpainen, and Luke Knecht captured every angle on camera, and editor Jim Beckmann stitched it all together.
