The Beta Band rolled into KEXP’s studio on October 13, 2025, to deliver a raw, rollicking take on “Dr Baker.” Steve Mason leads with vocals and guitar, backed by John Maclean on piano and sampler, Robin Jones on drums and Richard Greentree on bass—plus all three chiming in on backup vocals. Host Morgan Chosnyk keeps the vibe loose as audio engineers Julian Martlew and Jon Roberts capture every knotty riff and groove, with mastering by Matt Ogaz lending that final sheen.
