Saul Williams, Carlos Niño & Friends take over the KEXP studio for a totally improvised live session recorded on September 26, 2025. Williams brings his signature spoken-word flair and shaker, Niño layers bells, chimes, cymbals and percussion, and Aaron Shaw adds soaring flute and sax lines—all driven by pure spontaneity.
Hosted by Larry Mizell, Jr., engineered by Kevin Suggs with mastering from Julian Martlew, and captured on camera by Jim Beckmann, Carlos Cruz, Scott Holpainen & Jonathan Jacobson (edited by Beckmann), this performance is a raw snapshot of creativity in action.
