MIEN brought the heat to the KEXP studio on September 24, 2025, with a tight five-song set—kicking off with the punchy riff of “Counterbalance,” cruising through “Mirror,” “How Could You Run,” “Evil People” and wrapping up with “Western Shouting.” Fronted by Alex Maas (vocals/taishogoto), the quartet roared underpinned by John Mark Lapham (keys/samples), Rishi Dhir (bass/guitar/keys) and Robb Kidd (drums).
Behind the scenes host Jewel Loree kept the vibes flowing while Kevin Suggs, Rishi Dhir and Matt Ogaz nailed the audio mix. Cameras rolled thanks to Jim Beckmann, Luke Knecht & Ettie Wahl, and editor Luke Knecht spliced it all into a seamless live experience.
