MIEN Brings “Counterbalance” Live to KEXP
On September 24, 2025, MIEN took over the KEXP studio for a spirited live rendition of “Counterbalance.” Frontman Alex Maas handled vocals, taishogoto, and bass, while John Mark Lapham added keys and samples, Rishi Dhir juggled bass, guitar, keys, and backing vocals, and Robb Kidd drove the beat on drums. Host Jewel Loree steered the session as Kevin Suggs engineered the audio, Rishi Dhir mixed, and Matt Ogaz mastered the final cut, all captured by Jim Beckmann, Luke Knecht & Ettie Wahl and edited by Luke Knecht.
