King Stingray stopped by KEXP’s studio on August 28, 2025, to drop a scorching live take of “Hey Wanhaka.” Fronted by Theo Dimathaya Burarrwanga (vox), Roy Kellaway (vox/guitar), Billy Wanambi (vox/didgeridoo), Campbell Messer (vox/bass) and Lewis Stiles (vox/drums), the band brought serious energy under host Kevin Sur’s watch.

Behind the scenes, audio pros Kevin Suggs and Luke Postill captured every beat, Matt Ogaz nailed the mastering, and a dream camera squad—Jim Beckmann, Carlos Cruz, Scott Holpainen & Luke Knecht—filmed it all. Luke Knecht then stitched together the final edit for maximum impact.
