Jembaa Groove Live on KEXP

Jembaa Groove took over the KEXP studio on October 3, 2025, delivering energetic live takes of “Dabia” and “Namo.” Fronted by Eric Owusu’s vocals and percussion, the six-piece lineup—Yannick Nolting (bass), Babatunde Agonglo (guitar), Peter Somuah (trumpet), Szabolcs Bognar (keys) and Nir Sabag (drums)—rode a groove that’s equal parts tight and infectious, all hosted by the ever-charismatic Lace Cadence.

Behind the scenes, audio engineer Kevin Suggs captured every beat, Fabio Buemi blended the mix, and Julian Martlew polished the final master.
