Jembaa Groove stormed the KEXP studio on October 3, 2025, serving up live takes of “Dabia” and “Namo” that fuse Afro-jazz rhythms with fiery horns and groovy keys. Fronted by Eric Owusu’s vocals and percussion and anchored by Yannick Nolting’s bass, the six-piece band—complete with guitar, trumpet, keys and drums—brought an infectious energy you can practically feel through the speakers.
Hosted by Lace Cadence, the session was captured by a squad of camera pros and shaped by audio engineer Kevin Suggs, mixer Fabio Buemi and mastering whiz Julian Martlew. Dive into the full performance on KEXP.org or swing by jembaamusic.com for more.
