Dean Johnson rocked the KEXP studio on August 27, 2025, with a tight, four-song set including “Before You Hit The Ground,” “So Much Better,” “The Man In The Booth,” and “Faraway Skies.” Backed by Rebecca Young on bass, Sam Peterson on electric guitar, Sera Cahoone drumming and singing, and Aaron Khawaja on Rhodes piano, the performance brims with energy and raw talent. Cheryl Waters kept things rolling as host, while Kevin Suggs (audio engineer) and Matt Ogaz (mastering) made sure every note hit just right.
