Algernon Cadwallader tore into “Shameless Faces (even the guy who made the thing was a piece of shit)” live at KEXP’s Seattle studio on November 5, 2025. Fronted by Troy Nelson’s laid-back hosting vibe, the session captures the band’s trademark emo-punk energy in a raw, unfiltered take that’s as cathartic as it is anthemic.
The lineup features Peter Helmis (bass/vocals), Joe Reinhart (guitar/backing vocals), Nick Tazza (drums), Colin Mahoney (guitar) and Bryce Pulaski (keys/backing vocals). Kevin Suggs handled the audio, Matt Ogaz nailed the mastering, and a five-camera crew (Carlos Cruz, Jonathan Jacobson, Luke Knecht, Kendall Rock & Ettie Wahl) plus editor Luke Knecht delivered the slick visuals.
