Weval just dropped “ON” — a dreamy yet propulsive jam they premiered live at Cercle Odyssey Paris. Born from a spontaneous Portland soundcheck, it fuses hopeful melancholy with soaring chords, playful textures and even comes with an extended club version to keep dancefloors lit.
The Dutch duo (Harm Coolen & Merijn Scholte Albers) fine-tuned “ON” through DJ tests and fresh studio sessions before releasing it on Cercle Records. Known for their melodic, downtempo-tinged electronic sound (from their 2016 debut on Kompakt to 2019’s The Weight and a 2022 live-band record), they’re once again crafting immersive, cinematic vibes.
